Job Title:
Academic Leadership Specialist

School Leadership and Management
The Academic Leadership Specialist is responsible for the overall academic leadership and management of a cohort of schools. This includes ensuring improvement in key performance indicators, such as student satisfaction and fee collection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage area administrators to perform administrative duties and academic data management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with community members, parents, and donors to facilitate school development.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to ensure a cohesive working environment and share best practices.

Principal Quality Improvement
The specialist is responsible for strengthening the Principal cohort to improve their quality. This includes recruiting local Principals, conducting regular assessments, and providing feedback through formal appraisals.

Teacher Quality Enhancement
The specialist works with Principals to strengthen the Teacher cohort and improve their content and pedagogy skills. This includes recruitment, approval of transfers, and classroom observations.

School Improvement Strategies
The specialist develops and implements strategies for area improvement, linked to whole-school and area improvement plans. This includes action plans for struggling schools and regular follow-up to ensure progress.

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command over English and Urdu language.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications (MS Office, Internet, etc.).
  • Analytical skills.
