Instrumentation Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team.

This role will involve coordinating with project leads, contractors, clients, and vendors to execute instrumentation engineering activities with minimal supervision.

  1. Project Leadership: Lead small to medium-sized instrumentation projects, responsible for scope, schedule, and cost, ensuring methodical and timely completion of assigned projects.
  2. Scheduling and Follow-up: Effectively plan and follow up on scheduled activities to ensure timely completion.
  3. Participation in Studies: Participate in studies, conceptual designs, and estimate preparation as required.
  4. Design Documentation: Prepare instrumentation engineering design documents and drawings, including specifications and installation guidelines for process instruments and control instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with established engineering standards.
  5. Tech Reviews: Conduct technical reviews with vendor/contractor instrumentation in detail design to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards and codes.
  6. Document Review: Review and comment on P&IDs, layouts, and other key documents with due consideration of safety, operability, simplicity.
  7. Project Compliance: Ensure all project work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contract specification, project scope, and technical brief.
  8. Data Validation: Validate engineering data sheets, specifications, and requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and approvals, and other engineering deliverables are correct and meet as required by the project scope.
  9. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate with other engineering discipline teams and be responsible for the work progress and quality of deliverables within the discipline area.
  10. Scope Analysis: Analyze and interpret all project-related documents (instrument, electrical, mechanical, piping, etc.) to accurately quantify all controls and instrumentation scope items provided in project work scope requirement.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering (B Eng).
  • Minimum seven years of working experience in instrumentation design and project deliveries.
  • Proficient in the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry (API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, able to work with all levels of management and multinational staff.
