Job Description:

This position involves installing, terminating and testing copper and fiber optic structured cabling systems according to BICSI and TIA/EIA standards. The role requires a strong understanding of data networks, passive & active components and proficiency in using cable testing and termination tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure data network equipment including switches, routers, patch panels and racks.
  • Carry out UPS and power systems installation to support ICT/ELV infrastructure.
  • Execute ELV system installations including CCTV, access control and fire alarm integration.
  • Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling and proper documentation.
  • Conduct certification testing using industry-standard tools.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and system issues for seamless operation.
  • Ensure all installations comply with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and team members for timely project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BICSI Installer Certification (Installer 1, Installer 2 Copper or Installer 2 Fiber).
  • Proven experience in structured cabling, ICT/ELV installations, UPS and power systems.
  • Strong understanding of data networks and passive & active components.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using cable testing and termination tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit to perform installation tasks.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules.
