Enterprise Data Management Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and support our customer's enterprise-scale data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and operations, with working knowledge of ETL processes.

  • Administer the data platform, including cluster configuration, tuning, and resource management.
  • Monitor platform health, perform capacity planning, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Oversee and optimize ETL job execution in coordination with workflows.
  • Ensure platform availability and reliability by managing high-availability setups and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Support data operations, governance, and compliance processes within the analytics environment.
  • Implement operational best practices and contribute to automation of recurring tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administering the data platform to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  2. Monitoring platform health and performing capacity planning to prevent bottlenecks.
  3. Optimizing ETL job execution and ensuring seamless workflow coordination.
  4. Ensuring platform reliability through effective high-availability setup and disaster recovery configurations.
  5. Supporting data operations, governance, and compliance initiatives within the analytics environment.
  6. Implementing operational best practices and contributing to automation efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience in data management and administration.
  • Strong understanding of data ecosystems and related components.
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting within data environments.
  • Familiarity with ETL orchestration tools and Linux systems.
  • Proficient in SQL and able to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Knowledge of databases like Teradata is a plus.
