Job Title: Data Infrastructure Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Manager to oversee the operation, performance tuning, and security of our big data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components, proficiency in Linux system administration, and experience with Cloudera Manager and related tools.

The selected individual will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Cloudera clusters, monitoring cluster performance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance.

Additionally, they will manage and optimize Hadoop ecosystem services, implement and maintain robust security protocols, and perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for data clusters.

The successful candidate will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure effective use of the Cloudera environment and maintain comprehensive documentation of cluster configurations, architecture, and troubleshooting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera clusters.
  • Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage and optimize Hadoop ecosystem services.
  • Implement and maintain robust security protocols.
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Cloudera Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
