Fundraising Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Strategist to join our team in Pakistan. This is a senior role that will be part of the Senior Management Team and will play a crucial role in driving our fundraising efforts in the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a clear and compelling income generation strategy, securing funding for our programs from donors in Pakistan, and supporting our wider fundraising teams to secure international funding.

The Fundraising Strategist will work closely with the Pakistan Director and the Fundraising Director (based in the UK) to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that aligns with our corporate strategy and fundraising plan.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop contextual expertise to understand the donor landscape in Pakistan and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead the development of a strategy for fundraising in Pakistan that meets our organizational objectives.
  • Support the Pakistan Director in finalizing our registration in Pakistan and ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations.
  • Work with the fundraising team to develop a portfolio of strategic partnerships for Pakistan, focusing on high-value donors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, program partners, and service providers.
Key Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in high-value institutional fundraising or a similar role, securing grants of six and seven figures and above.
  • Expertise in driving new business opportunities and developing creative strategies to engage donors.
  • Strong track record in meeting fundraising targets and developing effective plans to achieve them.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing high-level internal and external stakeholders, including Chief Executives and trustees.
