Security System Specialist


Job Description

This is a hands-on opportunity to work with electrical engineering and security system installation. Our ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.


Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
  2. Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
  3. Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing detailed calculations.
  4. Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
  5. Performing engineering tasks using computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
  6. Consulting with customers, engineers, and others regarding engineering products or projects.
  7. Writing reports and compiling data for electrical engineering projects and studies.
  8. Preparing specifications for electrical equipment and materials purchases.
  9. Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budgeting.
  10. Supervising or training project team members.
  11. Maintaining electrical equipment.
  12. Working with technicians.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or relevant fields.
  • Three to six months of experience in security system installation/support.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, hydraulic, and alarm systems.
  • System configuration, integration, troubleshooting skills.
  • Networking principles and protocols familiarity.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
