Membrane Technology Postdoc Position

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our innovative project on membrane-based cooling technologies.

This project involves collaboration with leading industrial and academic partners and focuses on developing next-generation multicomponent membrane solutions for clean, efficient, and durable cooling applications.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create polymeric membranes with tailored surface properties through expert design and development techniques.
  • Develop thin-film composite membranes featuring functionalized surfaces.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art methods including SEM, EDS, TGA, BET, contact angle measurements, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy, and others.
  • Conduct lab-scale tests to identify relationships between fabrication methods, membrane structure, and performance.
  • Publish reports, author peer-reviewed publications, draft patents, and present findings at leading conferences.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of PhD scientists, engineers, graduate researchers, and undergraduates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A PhD in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in membrane fabrication, particularly thin-film composite membranes and surface functionalization.
  • Strong expertise in membrane characterization techniques and understanding of structure-property relationships.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based, multidisciplinary research environment.
