The role of Meteorologist is pivotal in predicting and understanding weather and climate patterns. In this position, you will work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for providing advisories and early warnings to the public and key stakeholders such as the civil aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational forecasting involving shift work, data analysis from computer weather prediction models, and meteorological observation systems.
  • Conducting research studies to advance our understanding and prediction capabilities in tropical weather and climate.
  • Analyzing geospatial data from computer weather prediction models and meteorological observation systems.

You will have opportunities to move to other aspects of the meteorological service value-chain, including data analysis and the development of meteorological applications/products.

A professional training in meteorology will be provided if needed, and there may also be opportunities to participate in international conferences and seminars.
