Responsibilities and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our software products and delivering results-driven solutions. This involves developing comprehensive test strategies, conducting thorough testing activities, and collaborating with the development team to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance:
  1. Develop comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, cases, and scripts, to ensure software quality and reliability.
  2. Conduct thorough testing activities across various platforms and environments, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  3. Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues, enhancing software quality and integrity.
  4. Manage defect documentation and resolution processes to maintain software standards.
  5. Participate in code reviews and advocate for high standards in code testability and quality.
Business Analysis:
  1. Elicit comprehensive business requirements from key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision in project deliverables. Establish strong relationships to facilitate ongoing dialogue and understanding.
  2. Translate intricate business needs into well-defined technical specifications and detailed functional requirements. Use these specifications to bridge the gap between business expectations and technical execution.
  3. Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project objectives. Strive for a unified vision that meets business goals and technical feasibility.
  4. Analyze and redesign business processes and workflows to increase efficiency and adaptability. Document current and future states, providing clear roadmaps for process improvement.
  5. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance organizational performance through innovative process improvements. Recommend and help implement solutions that drive operational excellence and support strategic objectives.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  1. Act as a conduit between QA, development teams, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity across all project phases.
  2. Provide regular progress updates to all stakeholders, highlighting testing results, project milestones, and any critical issues.
  3. Ensure that all parties are informed and prepared for changes that could affect project timelines or outcomes.
  4. Stay updated with the latest trends in QA and business analysis methodologies, incorporating best practices to foster continuous improvement.
  5. Mentor and guide junior team members in both QA and business analysis disciplines, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  6. Proactively suggest and implement enhancements to QA processes and business procedures, driving both product quality and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  1. 3-5 years of experience in a combined role of Software Quality Assurance and Business Analysis.
  2. Deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and proven experience in QA methodologies.
  3. Expertise in creating detailed test plans, cases, and scripts.
  4. Proficient with defect tracking tools and knowledgeable in test automation technologies.
  5. Strong analytical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills, suitable for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  7. Experience in business process modelling and documentation is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  2. Strong skills in SQL and database testing.
  3. Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
  4. Proficiency with business process design tools for visualizing and documenting workflows.
  5. Hands-on experience with Google Workspace and project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Jira.
  6. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
