Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to provide top-notch support and maintenance for Oracle 12c/19c databases. This role involves coordinating Oracle Patch Management, implementing security patches, and ensuring seamless backup and recovery operations.

The ideal candidate will work closely with other Systems Administrators and IT Teams to deliver exceptional Oracle DB services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration and support of Oracle 12c/19c databases on-premises and in the cloud
  • Coordination and implementation of Oracle Patch Management
  • Planning and testing of Oracle backup and recovery operations
  • Infrastructure support at all levels, including after-hours support as needed
  • Collaboration with Systems Administrators and IT Teams to coordinate Oracle DB work
  • Reviewing and recommending new Oracle services as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience supporting or maintaining Oracle technologies, including:
    • Oracle 12c/19c
    • Oracle Data Guard
    • Oracle RAC
    • Oracle Advanced Security
    • Oracle Data Masking
    • Oracle Data Redaction
    • Oracle Tuning and Diagnostic Pack
    • Oracle Multi Tenant
    • RMAN
    • SQL*Net
  • Support for Disaster Recovery operations using Oracle Database technologies
  • Development and enforcement of standards and best practices
  • Effective interaction with staff, both professionally and effectively
  • Ability to work weekends and after-hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of other databases is an asset
  • Financial Services or Banking experience is beneficial
  • A college degree is preferred, with 8+ years of experience in Database Administration and 7+ years of experience directly supporting Oracle Database Technologies
