Accounting Professional Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. This role will involve performing various accounting and financial tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with overall financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Transaction Recording: Accurately record day-to-day banking and credit card transactions in financial books, ensuring complete and error-free entries.
  2. Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that financial records match bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Record bills and invoices, and process them promptly. Maintain a record of outstanding customer invoices and vendor bills.
  4. General Journal Entries: Enter general journal entries as needed to capture any financial transactions not fitting standard categories.
  5. Vendor and Customer Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor and customer statements to ensure that records align with external statements, addressing any discrepancies.
  6. Month-End Accruals: Record month-end accruals accurately to reflect outstanding expenses or revenues for the period, ensuring up-to-date financial statements.
  7. Payroll Processing: Assist in recording and processing payroll transactions.
  8. Prepaid Expense Schedules: Prepare and maintain prepaid expense schedules to accurately reflect prepaid expenses on the balance sheet.
  9. Fixed Assets Register: Maintain an up-to-date fixed assets register, tracking the value and depreciation of tangible assets.
  10. Inventory Reconciliation: Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and make necessary adjustments to maintain accurate inventory valuations.
  11. 1099 Reporting: Generate 1099 data for review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with US clients.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and nights.
