Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to support our MHPSS program in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Psychological First Aid to affected populations, mapping existing services, and establishing referral pathways.

Mission 1: Mental Health Support
  • Work alongside the Emergency Response Team to provide psychological support to individuals in need.
  • Conduct assessments of mental health needs and provide counseling as required.
  • Offer psychosocial support to persons with disabilities and psychosocial disabilities, focusing on building basic life skills.
  • Deliver community-based awareness sessions on prevalent mental health issues.
Mission 2: Data & Reporting
  • Compile weekly data on MHPSS activities and share with relevant teams.
  • Maintain updated beneficiary databases in digital and hard copy formats.
  • Report on field activities, trainings, seminars, and learning sessions.
Mission 3: Field Management
  • Assist in arranging venues for sessions or trainings.
  • Liaise with implementing partners to avoid duplication.
  • Guide community social mobilization efforts and establish referral pathways.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • At least two years of experience as a mental health worker, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
  • Proficiency in Urdu, Sindhi, and English languages.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
