Job Description

Mashreq Digital Bank seeks an experienced professional to ensure the continuous assessment and evaluation of its Information Technology and Information Security environment.

The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in audit, with a minimum of 4+ years at managerial level, and a proven track record of managing senior management submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate operational processes related to IT & IS Segments, Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Crime, Cyber Hygiene, Central Data Lake, and other functional areas to identify risks and recommend corrective action/process changes.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the risk management and internal control system by expressing opinion regarding strategically important projects.
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to senior management on product development and process improvement.
  • Plan and conduct IT & IS audits, reviews, and risk assessments to ensure adherence with ISACA, IIA Professional Standards and bank policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing action plans to mitigate composite risks and accurately dimensioning and assigning ratings and communicating the impact of recommended actions.
  • Support ensuring that Mashreq Digital Bank's IT & IS audit is compliant with applicable regulatory requirements primarily State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) guidelines on Internal Audit Function and Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
  • Independently conducting audits, developing and preparing all IT & IS related audit reports in a professional manner for Senior Manager IT&IS Audit and Head of Internal Audit Mashreq Digital Bank.
Requirements:
  • CISA/CISM/CIA certification and Post Graduate degree from Higher Education Commission approved university.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience mainly in audit with increasing responsibility and at least 4+ years at managerial level.
  • Proven track record of managing senior management submissions and interacting with bank's senior management.
  • Team leadership qualities, excellent oral and written communication skills, strategic thinker to contribute to the enhancement of the risk management and internal control system.
  • Specialized knowledge, comprehension, and understanding of products and composite risks especially within Technology & Risk Management, Retail Business Segments as well as Operations.
  • Preferably have the background to understand and examine bank's IT/IS controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risks, and evaluate the following:
  • IT Policies, Procedures & Governance Framework.
  • Information Systems confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Information Security & Cyber Hygiene.
  • IT Infrastructure.
  • IT Operations and business continuity.
