As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all Agreement Documents are thoroughly reviewed to guarantee Contractor Scope of works and its contractual obligations under the subject Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze all Agreement Documents to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare necessary documents and reports related to contractual issues, including analysis and recommendations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project status and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to review, comment, and respond to Contractor correspondences, providing guidance on contractual and commercial aspects.
  • Lead negotiation and claims meetings, summarizing results after obtaining appropriate confirmations.
  • Verify the submission of required bank guarantees, warranties, insurances, and other specified documentation from Contractors, ensuring acceptability to Clients.
  • Identify potential contractual or commercial implications that may impact Client's interests and initiate preparation of contractual responses to address such matters.
  • Monitor and process commercial and contractual aspects related to Variations/Change Orders and claims.
  • Evaluate and advise on claims made by Contractors in light of contractual obligations and technical input from the Project Team.
Job Specifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with valid Professional membership of PEC and/or International equivalent membership.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant foreign and local work experience in administering, managing, and handling complex contracts for High Rise Building Projects and Infrastructure & Utilities projects in master planned communities.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law and commercial practice, including indemnities, insurance, guarantees, warranties, and liquidated damages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead issues and proactively obtain resolutions to problems.
  • The ability to work independently without close supervision and manage a high workload in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in Contract Management, risk management, and project management, with high-level problem-solving skills to resolve complex and sensitive issues.
  • Proficiency in the use of a range of office software.
