Job Title: Bookkeeping Associate

A Rare Opportunity for Aspiring Accountants exists in this role.

Our organization seeks a highly motivated Bookkeeping Associate to work on key accounting functions such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll processing, and client communication.

As a Bookkeeping Associate, you will closely collaborate with international clients, gaining exposure to US accounting standards (GAAP) and advanced accounting software. You will assist in managing end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients, support accounts receivable and payable processes, and conduct basic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts.

You will also learn payroll processing by assisting with client payroll tasks and compliance. Furthermore, you will help prepare financial statements and analyze data under the guidance of senior accountants. Throughout your journey, you will shadow senior team members in client meetings and support client inquiries related to financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Bookkeeping and Financial Activities
  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients.
  • Support accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Reconciliations
  • Conduct basic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts.
Payroll Support
  • Learn payroll processing by assisting with client payroll tasks and compliance.
Financial Reporting
  • Help prepare financial statements and analyze data under the guidance of senior accountants.
Client Interaction
  • Shadow senior team members in client meetings and support client inquiries related to financial matters.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • ACCA, or CA qualification is required.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to learn is necessary.
  • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to develop technical skills is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with or knowledge of US GAAP is preferred.
  • Any prior internship or coursework in accounting or finance will be an advantage.
