Tech Lead - Backend Services

We're seeking a skilled Node.js developer to join our team and help us build and scale robust backend services and RESTful APIs.

About the Role:

  • Backend Services Development: Develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, adhering to best practices for code quality and optimization.
  • Integration and Management: Integrate and manage third-party services such as payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to implement features end-to-end, troubleshoot bugs and performance issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Code Quality and Optimization: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following consistent coding standards, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous codebase improvement, continuously optimize systems for performance, uptime, and security.
  • Technical Ownership: Take ownership of tasks and contribute to technical planning and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on backend development experience using Node.js.
  • API Architecture: Strong understanding of RESTful API architecture and microservices.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Experience with third-party API integrations, especially payment gateways.
  • Databases: Solid grasp of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP) and CI/CD practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solving mindset and ability to debug across complex systems.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
