Procurement Expert

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating and sourcing goods and services to meet the organization's requirements. This role involves ensuring adherence to schedules, work plans and performance requirements across various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement operations to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure optimal pricing and service levels.
  • Sourcing and delivery of goods and services for assigned categories.
  • Prepare comprehensive comparisons of bids/quotations.
  • Evaluate commercial aspects of technical submissions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
  • Ensure Procurement KPIs are met in compliance with department policy and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement from a reputable organization is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent negotiation and vendor management skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in managing local and import purchases is required.
  • Well-versed in handling Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

  • Meet or exceed procurement targets.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
