Leadership and Academic Excellence

The Area Education Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving academic leadership and management across schools in the area. This position requires a strong ability to lead, manage, and improve overall academic performance.

  • This includes ensuring improvement in school standards, fee collection, and day-to-day fleet management, as well as managing administrative duties and academic data management.
Relationship Building and Communication

Maintaining effective communication with community members, encouraging the use of community resources, and fostering relationships with other stakeholders are essential skills for this role.

  • This includes maintaining liaison with donors on education-related activities and collaborating with other Area Education Managers to ensure a strong working environment.
Principal Development and Support

The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the Principal cohort to improve overall quality.

  • This involves working closely with the RHR Manager on recruitment, participating in assessment centers, and providing regular feedback through appraisals.
Teacher Quality and Development

This role requires a strong focus on improving teacher quality through Content and Pedagogy.

  • This includes conducting classroom observations, approving teacher transfers, and promoting continuous improvement throughout the year.
School Improvement and Strategies

The Area Education Manager will develop clear action plans for struggling schools and implement strategies for area improvement linked to whole-school development.Key Responsibilities
