As a key member of the Core Management Team, the Chief Medical Officer plays a vital role in defining the overall strategy and direction of our healthcare organization.

The incumbent will be part of the Medical College leadership as Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs.

This role provides medical oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, affordable healthcare through innovative clinical programs developed in collaboration with internal and external strategic partners.

The CMO will lead the clinical vision of the organization, guiding hospital departments to maintain high standards of care while ensuring affordability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing credentialing and privileging of faculty members, chairing the Credentialing Committee, and ensuring faculty attain and maintain privileges.
  • Evaluating and updating policies in line with international standards.
  • Supervising medical records review, accreditation, and certifications, including Joint Commission International accreditation.
  • Fostering a strong academic and service environment across campuses.
  • Overseeing infection prevention and control measures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Improving patient experience, monitoring care-related events, and addressing patient complaints and incidents.
  • Managing risk and medico-legal issues, and measuring clinical outcomes.
  • Ensuring quality bedside teaching and 24/7 medical coverage, coordinating with educational programs.
  • Supporting undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, collaborating with relevant academic committees.

To succeed in this role, you should have a medical degree from a recognized institution, a valid medical license (PMDC), and an academic rank of Associate Professor or higher. At least 10 years of clinical experience, including 5 years in leadership, is also required. Experience in clinical risk management is advantageous.
