Senior Program Development Director

The successful candidate will spearhead the design, development, and enhancement of curricula for both Summer School and evening continuing education courses. This role requires a candidate with a passion for education, a keen understanding of diverse learning needs, and the ability to collaborate with faculty and industry experts to deliver high-quality educational experiences.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead educational programs and manage teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and diverse instructional methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Design and Development: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of course curricula, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and the evolving needs of learners.
  • Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning and execution of Summer School and evening courses, ensuring a diverse and relevant course offering.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to manage course schedules, resources, and logistics.
  • Faculty Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals to develop and deliver courses.
  • Provide guidance and support to instructors to maintain high teaching standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and implement evaluation processes to assess program effectiveness and learner satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and community organizations to identify emerging educational needs and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Represent the organization at events, workshops, and conferences to promote programs and initiatives.
  • Behaviours and Knowledge: Pro-active, integrity, problem-solving skills; Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel proficiency; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in educational technologies and learning management systems.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in curriculum design and program development, preferably within continuing education or higher education settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading educational programs and managing teams.
