Strategic Human Resource Specialist

Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. This ensures that each role has clear expectations and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program to attract and retain top talent.
  • Counsels managers on candidate selection, conducts and analyzes exit interviews, and recommends changes to improve employee retention and engagement.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys, scheduling and conducting job evaluations, preparing pay budgets, monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions, and recommending pay structure revisions to ensure fairness and equity.
Employee Management:
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees effectively.
  • Schedules management conferences with employees, hears and resolves employee grievances, counsels employees and supervisors to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings to protect its interests and reputation.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Professional Development:
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
