Assistant Manager Accounts Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Accounts to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of accounting integrity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial dealings.
  • Manage depreciation calculations based on statutory rates, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of company books of accounts, including cash book and ledger management.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, cash trials, and bank reconciliations, verifying their accuracy.
  • Administer payroll records and petty cash details, ensuring transparency and adherence to guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare regular financial reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Provide oversight for accounting functions related to acquisitions and integrations, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Familiarity with tax laws is advantageous, but not essential.

  • Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant field, with strong mathematical abilities and attention to detail.

Main Tasks and Tools:

  • Stock Control: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Project Feasibility Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to identify potential projects and evaluate their feasibility.
  • Petty Cash Management: Oversee the efficient use of petty cash, ensuring it is used only for legitimate expenses.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Tools and Technologies: Microsoft Excel (Proficient user)
