We are seeking a highly skilled Reporting and Data Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Job Summary:The Reporting and Data Manager will assist in the planning and execution of DTM activities across Pakistan. This includes mobility tracking, multi-sector needs assessments, flow monitoring, and specialized surveys targeting thematic priorities such as return intentions, climate-induced mobility, and protection needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute DTM activities across Pakistan, including mobility tracking, multi-sector needs assessments, flow monitoring, and specialized surveys.
- Contribute to the analysis and dissemination of DTM data by supporting the production of analytical outputs, including situation reports, thematic briefs, dashboards, and other relevant information products tailored to IOM, humanitarian partners, and government stakeholders.
- Participate in the collection and analysis of data to support cross-cutting and thematic analyses on key issues of interest to IOM and its partners, including mobility dynamics linked to climate change, protection risks, socioeconomic vulnerabilities, and humanitarian needs.
- Assist in the development and production of high-quality data visualizations such as interactive dashboards, maps, infographics, and charts for internal and external use.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of incoming data from field teams; flag discrepancies, provide feedback to field staff and partners, and assist with data cleaning and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Ensure systematic back-up and proper organization of data repositories (both digital and physical), in line with IOM's information management protocols.
We are looking for candidates with a Master's degree in Migration Studies, Demography, Political or Social Science, International Relations, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, accompanied by two years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience is also acceptable.
- Prior experience in coordination of field teams, preferably for research and data collection;
- Experience with coordination and implementation of data collection and verification, preferably in emergency context on displacement and/or human mobility;
- Experience working in the data collection, analysis, and verification area in a local context;
- Experience in survey and questionnaire design and implementation and probabilistic sampling is an advantage;
- Experience working with local government representatives; and,
- Prior experience working for UN agency or international organization is an advantage.
Essential skills include strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to plan and coordinate activities effectively, practical experience of how-to multi-task prioritize and work independently, basic data cleaning and verification skills, and proven ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines.
Language Requirements:IOM's official languages are English, French, and Spanish. For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language, Urdu, Sindhi, Pashto, and/or Dari is an advantage.
