Financial Crime Risk Stewardship Leader

Role Summary:

This senior leadership position oversees the Financial Crime Risk Stewardship function, responsible for identifying and mitigating financial crime risks across the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial crime risk management strategy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of risk professionals in assessing and mitigating financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions violations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide guidance on financial crime risk management and control frameworks.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the financial crime risk management process and develop recommendations for change.
Requirements:
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, law).
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial crime risk management, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
