Accountant Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to manage our company's financial operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, business plans, and budget reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with internal or external auditors to identify and address any financial irregularities.
  • Tax Planning: Provide expert advice on tax planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting Systems: Oversee accounting processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and present monthly financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Risk Analysis: Analyze risk and review company systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Financial Advice: Offer expert financial advice to support business growth and development.
  • Fraud Detection: Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring financial transactions and reporting suspicious activity.
Requirements:
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficiency in IT systems, with knowledge of accounting software and technologies.
  • Numeracy Skills: Numeracy and strong mathematical skills, with ability to interpret complex data.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiation and decision-making skills, with ability to influence outcomes.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking and planning skills, with ability to drive business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Accounting Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B. Com/ BSc/ M. Com /MBA/ MSc). Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) qualifications are desirable.

Please note that experience in a UK-based firm is essential for this role.
