About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Health Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To identify and engage communities in the program's catchment area through effective communication and outreach strategies.
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitators in designated areas, utilizing participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools and community engagement approaches.
  • To document all data coming from the field, including qualitative and quantitative information, as well as stories from the community.
  • To report progress and weekly updates to the program coordinator.
  • To identify and register target populations for immunization programs.
  • To raise awareness among families and caregivers about the importance of routine immunization and vaccination schedules.
  • To mobilize community members to attend outreach and fixed immunization sessions.
  • To support vaccinators during outreach sessions, including crowd management and line listing.
  • To maintain accurate household and immunization records.
  • To follow up with defaulting families to ensure completion of vaccination doses.
  • To assist in maintaining cold chain equipment during sessions if required.
  • To report any adverse events following immunization (AEFI) to the supervisor immediately.
