Job Summary

The Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety at Aga Khan University Hospital. This individual collaborates with hospital leadership to develop and implement the Quality Improvement & Patient Safety Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  2. Facilitate regular quality improvement and patient safety meetings.
  3. Coordinate tasks related to QIPS plans and actions.
  4. Serve as a liaison between clinical and managerial departments.
  5. Oversee incident reporting, risk management, and complaints handling processes.
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant certifications.
  7. Design and deliver educational sessions on quality, patient safety, and risk management.
  8. Assist with medical staff credentialing and privileging processes.
  9. Drive quality improvement projects across various departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and professional certification in quality management.
  • Minimum two years of postgraduate experience in reputable healthcare organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer software and excellent communication skills.
