Key Responsibilities

As an Import/Export Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to arrange proper documentation and confirmation from clearing agents.

  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with banks and insurance companies to open Letters of Credit (LCs).
  • Negotiate document retirement with banks.
  • Review weekly shipment status reports and share them with the sales department.
  • Keep the sales team informed about upcoming materials.
  • Provide instructions for consignment unloading to the appropriate warehouse.
  • Arrange Electronic Import Forms (EIFs).
  • Manage final costing.
  • Direct and supervise import assistant officers.
  • Collaborate with management to assess and improve processes and policies.
  • Manage LC limit creation and renewal with banks.
  • Prepare performance reports for the department and suggest improvements.
Requirements

Superb written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Great organizational and planning skills are essential.

Excellent networking and time management skills are required.
