Job Title: Video Editor

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and editing film footage until it meets the director's approval.

  • Editing film to meet director's specifications, including rearranging and splicing scenes, determining if scenes need to be re-shot, and inserting music, sound, or optical effects.
  • Collaborating with the director to achieve the desired end result, overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing, and consulting with the director throughout the post-production process.
  • Experimenting with styles and techniques, selecting the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance, or continuity, and writing voiceover/commentary.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in video editing and filming, coupled with a solid understanding of typography and a clean design aesthetic.
  • A self-starter who can troubleshoot and work independently, with the ability to travel for shooting on location.
Technical Requirements:
  • Expert hands-on knowledge in graphics or photo imaging software (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop) and video creation and editing software (Pinnacle, Adobe Premiere Pro, Windows Media Services).
