Tax Governance Specialist

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of issues, including Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Global Law, Indirect Tax, International Tax and Transaction Services, and People Advisory Services.

You will be part of a MENA team providing high-quality services to clients across various industries. You will also lead a team responsible for service delivery, coordination, issue resolution, and contract management of large-scale projects, managing and coordinating the delivery of tax services by our teams in the region.

This role requires strong technical skills combined with practical commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge to lead a team in providing tax services. You will be responsible for a team to help manage our clients' compliance and reporting needs, establishing, maintaining, and strengthening valued internal and external relationships.

• You will create and implement standardized processes, anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate, and drive performance-improvement solutions.
• You will assist the team in generating new business opportunities and building client networks for our GCR client base to grow in the region.
• You will lead and motivate high-performing teams, build a positive learning culture, coach, and counsel junior team members to help them develop.
• You will ensure adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines and manage engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders.

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or any related essential field. An MBA, Master's, or other related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent qualification are also desirable.

You must have over 6 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules, regulations, developments, corporate tax, and compliance, financial tax reporting, preferably within a large professional services company or similar environment. A strong background in tax accounting and tax auditing is also required.

• You will have a strong track record of managerial, organizational, and project management experience.
• Experience of dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in multi-cultural environments.
• In-depth commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge.
