About the Role:

The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for managing bulk production, production planning, and product development.

  • Bulk Production:
  • Ensure accurate placement of bulk orders within capacities.
  • Coordinate bulk execution by liaising with suppliers, support departments, and product development teams.
  • Monitor operations on-ground to verify and report production statuses, addressing bottlenecks to maintain timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on bulk issues and escalate for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure timely delivery by working with vendors and mills to track fabric and garment development, pre-production, and bulk production.
  • Assist in creating specific reports to address issues.
  • Manage and train suppliers in our systems.
  • Production Planning:
  • Update vendor capacities weekly and monthly in our systems, ensuring accurate delivery dates by comparing capacities with plan placements.
  • Update lead-times for garments and fabrics in our lead-time templates, and compare submitted lead-times with production dates received from vendors.
  • Minimize MOQ upcharges and liabilities through effective planning, negotiation, and cross-sourcing via vendor coordination.
  • Product Development:
  • Assist senior management in liaising with fabric, finishing, and quality teams to ensure fabric and garment quality meet our specifications.
  • Track development of prototypes, commercial samples, and ad samples at the start of each season for bulk production readiness.
  • Initiate meetings between vendors, finishing, quality teams, and relevant stakeholders to highlight new developments at season start.
  • Track pre-production approvals, including approval samples for size sets, finishes, shade bands, and first-off production, especially for new or changed products.
  • Provide necessary resources such as manufacturing, construction, and design documents to ensure timely approval submissions.
