Job Title: Senior Linux Systems Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient system administration strategies, ensuring high availability and scalability of production systems, and maintaining and troubleshooting Linux systems and virtualization environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing efficient system administration strategies to ensure high availability and scalability of production systems.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting Linux systems and virtualization environments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in system administration, with knowledge of Linux and virtualization technology is required.
  • Experience with software automation tools for production systems is a must.
  • Knowledge of web servers GIT CI/CD pipelines etc. is necessary.
  • Certifications in VMware vSphere Red Hat Linux Administration or Data Center Virtualization are preferred but not mandatory.

Educational Background:

  • A BE/BS in Software Engineering IT IS Telecom or Computer Science (4 years) from an HEC-recognized university is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.

Location: This position is based in Islamabad.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The selected candidate will be hired initially for a contract period of 5 years which can be extended if required.
