We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Officer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.

Additionally, they will be proficient in MS Office, have knowledge of compliance and internal control procedures, and be familiar with industry trends and developments.

The successful individual will also be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

They will have a strong understanding of business principles, be able to analyze data, and make informed decisions.

The selected candidate will also have the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Furthermore, they will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure prompt procurement of raw materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Conduct market research to gather data on pricing trends and material availability.
  • Identify potential vendors/suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Prepare estimated cost sheets for imports, enter relevant data into the ERP system, and generate purchase orders for management approval.
  • Verify that all items delivered by vendors meet specifications and quality standards defined by the user department and purchase order.
  • Arrange transportation and customs clearance for prompt delivery of materials from vendor premises to the factory.
  • Coordinate with service providers for scheduling, expediting, and tracking of shipments.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
  • Make arrangements for returning rejected items/goods/materials to suppliers.
  • Prepare a monthly management report.
