Paediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist

Aga Khan University is committed to providing education, research, and healthcare of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region.

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health provides state-of-the-art clinical services to children and imparts high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training.

The department consists of dedicated faculties who provide care in outpatient clinics and inpatient settings, including a Paediatric Ward with two units comprising 84 beds, a Neonatal Section, and intensive care units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical service in in-patient and out-patient settings under senior faculty members.
  • Perform daily team rounds and formulate management plans in consultation with seniors.
  • Practice quality-based care with an academic and service model.
  • Participate in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates according to defined standards.
  • Conduct clinical/basic research related to Paediatric infectious diseases.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and perform procedural skills based on competency levels.
  • Provide consultations under supervision in different clinical areas.
Requirements:
  • MBBS degree and valid medical license.
  • Completed structured postgraduate training in Paediatrics from a reputable institution.
  • Cleared specialist qualification in Paediatrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
