Accounting Specialist Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of inclusive policies and procedures in the assigned area of responsibility to avoid systematic biases or discrimination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting management and be able to coordinate with responsible staff for accurate calculation of assigned funds for gender and diversity aspects in all measures and regularly monitor effective utilization and adjust when required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement Inclusive Policies: Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented in a way that avoids systematic biases or discrimination.
  • Coordinate with Staff: Work with responsible staff to accurately calculate assigned funds for gender and diversity aspects and regularly monitor effective utilization and adjust when required.
  • Manage Financial Transactions: Manage financial transactions, including posting weekly/monthly entries carried out by the finance section in the Winpaccs Accounting software.
  • Review Bank Reconciliation: Review bank account reconciliation activity and cash account reconciliation activity on a monthly basis.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate with project AVs and admin and finance teams on the status of project accounting.

Key Requirements: A bachelor's degree in accounting and at least five years of direct experience in accounting management. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
