Senior Compliance Officer

This is a key role responsible for the operational and tactical oversight of university-wide activities to ensure adherence to established policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government processes, funding mechanisms, and public policy. They will be able to develop and manage systems to monitor institutional processes and ensure compliance with internal and external policies.

  • This role requires a minimum of 20 years of experience in a public organization, with at least 12 years in government relations, public administration, preferably in a university or government training institution.
  • The candidate should also have 10-12 years of teaching experience in a public or private academic institution.

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the implementation of policies across the university to ensure compliance with requisite regulations.
  • To develop monitoring systems to report and track university activities in line with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
  • To provide recommendations to senior leadership on improving processes to facilitate smoother functions at NUST.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MPhil degree in social sciences and related fields.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in reports & proposals.
