Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior AWS Infrastructure Migration Engineer to lead and manage full-time, permanent migration projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure to AWS and play a key role in the successful transition of IT systems, applications, and data to the AWS cloud environment.

  • Assess existing on-premises infrastructure and design a comprehensive migration strategy using expertise in AWS services like MGN, EDR, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, TGW, and Control Tower.
  • Leverage AWS migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, and Database Migration Service (DMS) for smooth transitions.
  • Evaluate AWS infrastructure for cost efficiency, security, and performance, ensuring minimal downtime during migration and validating successful migration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to configure on-prem infrastructure components like servers, firewalls, and routing.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for migration processes, configurations, and architecture.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure migration, including server, database, and application migrations.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and best practices for migration.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex migration challenges.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in designing cloud architectures and network security.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification
  • Experience with multi-cloud migration strategies.
  • Experience working with cloud consulting or services providers.
