Plant Operations Manager Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Manager to oversee the efficient and environmentally responsible operation of our plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and productivity of all plant personnel.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize plant operations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Lead efforts to identify root causes of operational problems and develop recommendations for resolution.
  • Administer effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize repairs, managing safe and technically sound accomplishment of tasks.
  • Assist in the development and execution of operating budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Review and continuously improve plant operating practices and procedures, developing recommendations for improved effectiveness, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Schedule plant personnel to ensure safe, reliable 24/7/365 operation of the plant while complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement local procedures related to safety, housekeeping, environmental compliance, maintenance, and system efficiency.
  • Coordinate activities of outside contractors to support plant operations.
  • Review daily operating logs, reports, and data, investigating inconsistencies or apparent problems and addressing and resolving them.
  • Participate in labor negotiations and union business, including the resolution of grievances.
