Microbiological Safety Specialist

Job Purpose:

  • To ensure the safety and quality of food products by conducting microbiological analysis, implementing best practices, and contributing to a culture of excellence in food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive microbiological testing and analysis of raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to detect and identify contaminations.
  • Monitor and assess sanitation practices and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine environmental monitoring by swabbing and sampling critical areas to detect and address potential sources of contamination.
  • Maintain accurate records of microbiological testing protocols, results, and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate incidents of contamination or deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimisation of testing methodologies, and enhancement of food safety protocols.
  • Stay abreast of food safety regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Background Requirements:

Education:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in microbiology is preferred.

Location:

Faisalabad Plant, Punjab.
