About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Deputy Director to lead our procurement function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the procurement function, developing and implementing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including contract negotiations and vendor management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including World Bank procurement guidelines and PPRA rules.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience in procurement management, preferably in a government or semi-government organization.
  • Proven track record of successful contract management, negotiation, and vendor relationship-building.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with contract drafting, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
