Chief Operations Engineer

As a seasoned expert in the Oil and Gas sector, we seek an experienced Chief Operations Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas measuring equipment installed at Industrial Gas meter stations and Town Border Stations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications engineering, with a minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience in remote monitoring and data acquisition. They will be responsible for managing and supervising teams, ensuring effective operation and maintenance of Data Acquisition Systems, and coordinating field activities related to installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of data acquisition equipment.

This role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster individual growth among team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing key performance indicators, conducting root cause analysis, and coordinating with relevant departments for swift resolution.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional who can drive proactive planning and scheduling processes to optimize manpower. The chosen candidate will oversee procurement of necessary spares and equipment, manage precise gas management, accurate measurement, and pressure adherence according to demand-supply analysis.

The position also involves managing budgets for operations, maintenance, revenue, and capital expenditure, as well as coordinating emergency and contingency procedures for attending to and addressing emergency complaints promptly on a 24/7 basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas measuring equipment.
  • Supervise the effective operation and maintenance of Data Acquisition Systems.
  • Coordinate field activities related to installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of data acquisition equipment.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators for each area of responsibility.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with relevant departments for swift resolution.
  • Oversee procurement of necessary spares and equipment.
  • Manage precise gas management, accurate measurement, and pressure adherence.
