Accounting Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to oversee day-to-day operations, manage client relationships, and lead our accounting team with expertise in GAAP standards, tax knowledge, effective communication skills, and strong leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communications: Manage client interactions, respond to queries, and maintain high service standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare company accounts, corporation tax returns, and self-assessment tax returns.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and support junior accounting staff, including work review and training.
  • Time Management: Ensure timely delivery of client work and compliance with deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain efficient internal processes and workflows.
  • Client Relationship: Serve as the primary point of contact between the firm and its clients.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of UK accounting experience.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage staff and oversee workloads in a remote setting.
  • Language: C1-level English proficiency (verbal and written) – essential for client communication.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills – including pivot tables, vlookups, and other formulas.
  • Accounting Practice: Experience working in a client-facing role within an accounting practice.
  • Organizational Skills: Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Certification: ACCA or equivalent.
  • Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
