Design Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background with expertise in manufacturing design, focusing on optimizing efficiency and minimizing material wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing designs for furniture and interior solutions to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with the production and operations teams to align design output with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Perform waste calculations to optimize material usage and reduce production costs.
  • Oversee the order processing cycle to guarantee accurate design execution from concept to final product.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source cost-effective materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement design improvements based on production feedback and market trends.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality assurance protocols in design execution.
  • Support new product development initiatives with innovative and practical design solutions.

For success in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing or related field) along with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the furniture construction or related industries. You should also have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and finishing techniques; proficiency in CAD software; knowledge of waste calculation and optimization techniques; and excellent analytical problem-solving skills, communication, and coordination skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
