Job Title: Information Security Officer

This role is responsible for developing and implementing information security policies and procedures to protect the organization's digital assets.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, as well as 2+ years of experience in information security or a related role.

Candidates must possess strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR), and experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).

Skill requirements include ability to perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing information security policies and procedures;
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments;
  • Monitoring and responding to security incidents and breaches;
  • Managing and maintaining security tools and technologies;
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards;
  • Educating employees about security best practices and awareness;
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and trends;
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans;
  • Conducting security audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;

This position requires a strong attention to detail and analytical skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
