We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Lead Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

1. Cultivate and refine threat hunting techniques, leveraging existing tools in conjunction with GCO staff to develop advanced analysis and search capabilities focused on identifying sophisticated APT and insider threat activities.
2. Rigorously research new and existing threat actors and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), developing a comprehensive understanding of their potential impact and recommending strategies to enhance our defensive and detective capabilities.
3. Foster collaboration with the wider Cybersecurity functions, including the Red Team, to conceptualize hypotheses for novel attack techniques and evasion methods.
4. Coordinate and facilitate threat hunting activities, synthesizing intelligence from multiple sources.
5. Analyze incident and penetration testing reports and logs to identify detection gaps and suggest improvements.
6. Provide expert analytical support on large-scale, complex security incidents.
7. Contribute to the evolution of hunting, monitoring, detection, analysis, and response capabilities and processes.
8. Develop and mentor colleagues in areas of expertise to strengthen Cybersecurity Operations capabilities.
9. Represent HSBC Global Cybersecurity Operations at internal and external cybersecurity forums.
10. Pursue collaboration with Cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure technological capabilities remain effective against current and emerging threats.
11. Identify processes suitable for automation and orchestration to optimize resource efficiency.
