Job Overview

Our organization is a leading provider of enterprise software solutions with a global presence in over 100 countries. We have experienced significant growth in recent years, expanding from a dozen employees to over 2,000 staff across three cities.

We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for the maintenance and performance of databases to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software and related tools.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and implement new database features and structures.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize database settings for maximum performance.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and recoverability in case of failures.
  • Implement security measures, manage user access, and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Perform database upgrades, apply patches, and maintain the database environment.
  • Investigate and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems and security breaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, architecture, and administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.
  • Experience with Oracle backup and recovery tools (RMAN), DB Dumps, Oracle Always On, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
