Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to assume a leadership role within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in team management, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.

About the Role
  • As a Team Lead - Accounts & Finance, you will oversee all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping practices and processes.
  • You will lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accounting professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management:
    • Assign tasks and projects, ensuring balanced workloads and timely completion.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor actual performance against budgets, analyze variances, and provide insights for corrective actions.
  • Internal Controls:
    • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
    • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records and reports prepared by the team.
    • Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function.
    • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of accounting professionals.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including accounting systems and spreadsheets.
