Energy and Infrastructure Lawyer Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work with high-profile organizations on a range of diverse and interesting legal advisory projects, spanning multiple countries and borders. As an Energy and Infrastructure Lawyer, you will advise clients on commercial and corporate topics, including day-to-day advice.

Key responsibilities include involvement in energy and infrastructure transactions across multiple countries within the Middle East, helping clients deal with the evolution of the energy and infrastructure landscape. Projects may include greenfield project development, project finance transactions, regulatory model development, and M&A across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Additionally, as part of a global entity, you will manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the law practice and the wider network, and help others do the same. You will also contribute to the development of the legal practice through initiatives such as delivering internal training, developing precedents, sharing knowledge, participating in team and firm events, giving presentations, and producing expert articles for publications.

We are seeking someone who will create a distinctive and differentiated law brand with us. This role is best suited for aspiring law professionals who have worked in established law firms and wish to continue developing their career with this greenfield opportunity.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a qualified lawyer from a reputable legal practice environment.
  • Good knowledge of common topics within the sector such as project agreements, project finance documentation, construction contracts, O&M agreements, oil & gas contracting structures, etc.
  • Ability to develop regulatory frameworks for evolving utility markets.
  • Strong client relationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, self-management, and project management skills.

Ideally, you'll also have great negotiation skills and fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
