Job Role Description: As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping our organizational strategy by ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

This position requires a strong understanding of regulatory laws, particularly in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with local and international regulatory requirements.
  2. Advise on Corporate Matters: Offer expertise on corporate law matters, ensuring alignment with regulatory developments across commercial operations, human resources, audit, taxation, financial markets, capital markets, and other strategic areas.
  3. Manage FDI Portfolios: Oversee and manage foreign direct investment portfolios for all group entities, ensuring compliance with the State Bank of Pakistan and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan for remittance and registration.
  4. Develop Compliance Policies: Create and implement policies that ensure adherence to financial, real estate, and capital market regulations.
  5. Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with regulatory obligations, including structuring, governance, investor protection, and reporting requirements in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and other relevant authorities.
  6. Collaborate on Investigations: Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance and regulatory challenges, manage investigations, and mitigate legal and financial risks.
  7. Engage with Regulatory Bodies: Engage with local and international regulatory bodies to strengthen corporate governance, policy development, and compliance measures.
  8. Develop Risk Management Strategies: Create and oversee frameworks for Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Financing of Terrorism, sanctions compliance, and corporate risk management.
  9. Conduct Regular Audits: Conduct regular audits and due diligence across business functions to ensure regulatory alignment and operational integrity.
  10. Negotiate Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and regulatory submissions, ensuring alignment with legal and business objectives while safeguarding corporate interests.

Qualifications:

  • LLB; LLM: Must hold a degree in Law or related field
  • DTP (SECP) Certification: Preferably hold certification from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan

Experience: 7 years of experience in Legal/Risk Assessment & Compliance
